At Fixeau, we develop smart technologies to support future-proof agriculture and sustainable food security by optimizing water and soil management. Our innovative sensors and data platform help farmers make better-informed decisions, support crop growth, and improve ecological conditions. To support the continued development of our sensor technologies and app, we are looking for a motivated master’s student who is eager to contribute to practical, innovation-driven agriculture.

About us

We are an innovative start-up located on Wageningen Campus with a small, close-knit team dedicated to developing decision-support solutions for smarter water and soil management. With our strong technical and hydrological expertise, we translate complex data into clear insights and practical action perspectives, helping users respond more effectively to changing conditions.

What you will do

Contribute to the development of soil and groundwater sensors
Research the reliability and applicability of new technologies
Combine models and field data with practical insights
Work on real-world challenges such as salinization, drought, and subsidence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary and international team

What we are looking for

A student with a technical or scientific background (e.g. Biosystems Engineering, Agrotechnology, Hydrology, Data Science)
Interest in sensor technology, precision agriculture, and/or modeling
A hands-on, solution-oriented attitude
Affinity with sustainability, water management, and agriculture is a plus
